We all have moments of doubt or question that we are doing the right thing. I had been wanting to start a center for higher learning, and decided to do so in September, 2007 (the same month I married.) On November 10th I picked up my flyers, which happen to have my heart logo on them. I was on I-5 in San Diego on my way to meet a friend for dinner and I asked God for a sign that not only was I on the right path, and that the Center for Higher Learning is what I am supposed to be doing, but also that God would support me with energy, guidance, people and students. That saying "If you build it, they will come" came to mind, and I laughed (ok, it's a little cheesy...) Within a few minutes, after passing under the Coronado Bay Bridge, I saw a plane skywriting what I thought to be the beginning of a smiley face. In that moment I thought to myself, "There's my sign." It turned out to be a heart, just like my logo. I knew then that it was definitely my sign. At 75 mph I tried to take a picture of it with my cell phone, thinking no one was going to believe my story. (Do not try this at home or in your car at 75 mph!) Luckily, I got the photo, and I've posted it here to share and inspire others. I am grateful that God speaks back to me. Sometimes I don't hear it the first time! |
